Oh dam......ELAN

As normal this morning the Guv and I went off into the mountains at the back of our house for the morning walk, but I was in for another treat also.
I found out that only 20 minutes from my abode is the ELAN VALLEY, and that is where my drinking water comes from!  We had a great time and there was lots of woodland walks for me............

Wooden Dog?

Another day, another walk, there certainly are lots of parks in and around Llandrindod Wells. This morning we had a good walk around Rock Park. The Guv told me that many years ago in the Victorian era it was very fashionable for wealthy members of the public to come here and "take the waters", as there is apparently a mineral spring. We'll look at that tomorrow. Meanwhile I came across this big piece of tree trunk / root that I decided to investigate.
Now the Guv said its looks like a dog lying down......
so I tried it out !!!!!

I'll keep them away !

I was beginning to think it never stopped raining in Wales, in fact I was fast becoming a "soggy doggy"!

Now whilst my housekeepers have a good garden at the rear of the house here in Wales, I'm not as free as in my garden in Greece.  I think it might have something to do with the fact that I jumped the fence to see the dog next door. He's quite a big Alsation type canine and all I wanted to do was to play, but he ran off indoors when I started to speak to him......

Guess I'll have to be contented with guarding the front of the house, I bet I can get the postman to run off as well !!!

Feeling sheepish....

Before I get back to telling you about my trip here I must tell you about my morning walkies. Now in Greece you know I get taken to the beach most days, well it appears there are no beaches near my home here in Wales, but at the back of the house there are massive open fields and common land. At first I got a bit upset thinking I had become a "common dog" but as the Guv let me run about there, but I soon realised just how free I was and no worries about poison being put down to harm me.
Its good as I also can play hide & seek, you see I blend in with these woolly things extremely well and they appear to be everywhere!  I'm told I am not allowed to play chase with them though, so being good I don't, but one of the young ones had the cheek to chase me !!!

Watch Dog........

I just had to write another blog today to tell you all just how excited I was that the Guv allowed me to watch the Queen's celebration  pageant on the Thames. What made it much better for me was that I could watch it in the lounge in front of the fire at my house instead of my fur getting soaked by going to London and having to dodge all the cats & dogs that fell out of the sky!

Well I heard the Guv say it was raining cats & dogs in London !

Its Magic !

After docking at Bari in Italy we were in for a long drive to Cesena, with a few stops on the way for, well normal things and of course lunch.  The Guv had fresh cuttle fish (I thought you humans only gave that to budgies) but the Misses does not eat fish so she had chicken!  I thought I would wait until evening just in case I get as big as they are!
Now we stopped at a very new human kennel building, and it had three "Magic Cupboards" that I was most impressed with.  I went inside one of them with the Guv and the doors closed. Inside was all mirrored so I could check my appearance was up to my normal standard. Then when the doors opened again there was a whole new world outside, totally changed from the one that was there when we went in the cupboard..........real MAGIC I thought!

Ciao, bow,wow....

Humans do some odd things don't they?  Now when I try and climb trees, or climb over walls the Guv shouts at me, but take a look at the human the Guv photographed climbing on the ferry. I was told he was the pilot, but clearly not as intelligent as us dogs if he thought he could get a ship to fly !

I know the Guv was born in Barry, so when I heard we were sailing there from Greece I thought it was to his birth town. I knew I was wrong when I heard the people speaking, they did not sound like he does, this was BARI in Italy.  So when I met a few canines it was definitely a case of  "Ciao Bow Wow"
