Pigeon TV

So the "Guv" has at last found out what I've been barking at the last few days and he has been moaning about......

The poor picture on the TV was not being caused by weather interference at all.  Now you may have heard about "Pigeon Post", well I guess we got "Pigeon TV".......guess I've have to teach it "Pigeon English" so the Guv can tell it to move!

Breakfast with friends

This morning me and my housekeepers went off in the "Poppymobile" on a much longer drive to Stoupa as the weather was really good.  Every so often they seem to like to go there and have a good British breakfast on the seafront.  Now normally I have to sit bored as I am not allowed to chase or bark at the numerous cats that always seem to be around, but this morning was different......I made a new friend.
Shame he was a bit young for me, but he had the right idea as he was already barking at the felines!  Mind you my people gave him some food.......not too sure about that, it may have been meant for ME!

Your treats may be poisoning us.....

Say NO to cake !

and not just chocolate ones.......

The other day I told you in my blog about things that are poison to us dogs. Now today I want to add to that a BIG warning about sugar free foods and sugar substitutes.

You see humans are very lucky, as you are able to read on the food packets just what is in the product and all the additives.  We canines rely on you to look after us and feed us the best!  I know many humans like to give us dogs little treats, but if you are  not careful that little treat might be killing us........

A more recent sugar substitute called XYLITOL is deadly for us dogs......

read about it here...... XYLITOL the facts  )

The "Guv", who was a grocer, says it is in more things than you think !

Sunny days.....

Nice and sunny here this morning for my walk through Petalidi.  The Guv even let me meet a new canine friend, but truthfully he was a bit of a dirty mutt compare to me!

Its Poison............

As spring arrives so do many problems for us canines in Greece and indeed many other places around the world.  So my mate Pal and I thought it time to remind all you humans out there about chemicals and foods that are dangerous to us.

Many things you people use (and even eat) will poison me and my friends. As you will know here in Greece at this time of year not only do we have to be on the lookout for people drowning the fields with weed killer (normally Round-up), but also as the tourist season approaches nasty humans leave poison around hidden in bones, meatballs and other foods to tempt both us dogs and our feline enemies......

Next week is National Poisons Week......

I have linked to a page that will  give you loads of information below:-

Pet Poisons...........

However even this list does not cover all things, don't take any notice of the phone number (unless your in USA), but always have your vets number handy and if like me you live some of the time in Greece, get your  housekeepers to always carry an anti-poisons injection kit with them.  The stuff found around the beaches out here will kill the biggest of us dogs in 20 minutes!  Only if they act fast can we be saved if we get fooled into eating something !!!!

Stormy, stormy night.....

It definitely was a bit stormy here in Greece last night!  The misses was up and about and like me could not sleep, but the "Guv" slept through and heard nothing,  like  normal......
However I woke him up as usual just before 0700hrs so he could get breakfast and take me out for my morning walk. Friday is market day in the small town near us, so good and early we set off.   Well what a mess around the seafront, the road was covered with beach, and there were two holiday makers in camper vans on the beach front.....bet they were scared!

Not much doing....

There really has not been much to report since I wrote my last blog.  Like normal I go out most mornings for a run on the beach and I have been out with my housekeepers a few times to the local taverna for morning coffee or breakfast, but that's all!

Mind you the shooting season is now over and I do see far more of my canine friends roaming around.  I bet they have been thrown out by Mr Greek like I was a few years back,  I know my people would help them if they could as often they give them some of my food!  I guess I should not mind as I do get more than I can eat.......

Dydd Gwŷl Dewi Sant hapus !

Greek, English and now Welsh......I do get confused sometimes, however as I was taken last year to Wales, the homeland of my housekeepers I have made a special extra effort to try and wish them:-

"Dydd Gwŷl Dewi Sant hapus "

Even got the daffodils to grow on time here in Greece  !!!!
