Walled in !

Well we are nearly ready to leave our temporary home in France and move on. I understand the Guv has planned three more places to stay in France before I get to the UK again. I just hope the walls are not as high as these, 'cos I can't out !

Its looks very old......

Another town we visited a few times was Eymet.  Like many towns and villages in this part of France it looked very, very old....even older than the Guv!
I know you will like the photos, but best of all is the last one, because
"I'm on it"....Oh yes and the Misses as well....

No one understands me...

Each day after my morning vineyard run-a-bout we set off for somewhere new, the other day the Guv drove to Brantome.  Certainly a bit too touristy to want to live there but well worth seeing.

I met a few French canines when walking along the river front, not that I could converse though....they seem to be saying:-

pouvez vous aboyer dans le français s'il vous plaît?

and never replied when I shouted

μπορείτε να γαβγίζουν στα ελληνικά;

Having a vine old time

Now some of you will know I'm quite partial to a drop of the red stuff! Not that I get much, just a lick off the end of the Guv's finger as he says its poisonous to us dogs.  So I was quite excited when I was told every day I would be able to run around the vineyards.  Search as I did though I never found one bottle of the stuff !!!!

This is now my early morning walk, very day.  The vineyards are everywhere you look, never have I seen so many. What is more the Guv lets me run about without him having the fear I will pick up poison as is often laid in the olive groves in Greece.......

No duress at Duras

One of the first villages my people took me to was Duras, I must say I liked it there as when they stopped for coffee the owner told them to bring me in the cafe also.  The last time I was here was in 2012 on another one of my European trips.......what a lucky canine I am!

My temporary home

Now I thought whilst we were in France my people planned to stay in the "human kennel on wheels", but I was wrong.  The Guv parked the kennel on some farm land and we are all staying in what the French call a "Gite".  (I really must improve my French as when the Guv told me we were staying in an "old gite", I thought he meant I was staying with an old git!).....well maybe that's right also !!!!!

You will notice the owners had made the pool "Rosie proof"

Our first sites.

We arrived at our first camp site in France a little later than planned so the Guv did not take any photographs for me.  Saying that, despite the town being quite pleasant there was not much to sniff about!

Our second stop was at Brioude (the Misses wanted to stop there to visit the lace museum), now that site was very good.  Loads of room for me to run about in the fields, a great lakeside walk and there were only four other campers there.  When I was  not out and about I enjoyed looking at the view through the window from the human kennel on wheels.....

A long a lonely road....

Once off the ferry in Italy the first day incurred quite a long drive for the Guv, as he hates most of the camp sites in Italy saying they are far too big.  In fact on that first night we stayed at a hotel not in the human kennel on wheels.

Whilst I do try and take an interest and keep watch out of the window of the poppymobile sometimes the weather made it very boring...

and other times we saw great sights,  or so the Guv thought!

Having a ferry good time....

Bari, Italy

As on previous occasions my people planned the ferry trip from Igoumenitsa in Greece to Bari in Italy.  They always think of me having to do "doggy things" as I just can not make use of the facilities on the ferry, far to "gross" for a canine of my breeding!  The journey takes around 9 hours and as it is through the night I tend to sleep most of the time.  The other good thing is that we stay in the "human kennel on wheels" which gets plugged into the ship's electric system, so it really home from home for us.....

They're packing!

Now despite "Google" trying to gag me as they stopped me signing in to my blog because I was not in Greece, I've cracked their system !

There was a lot of action around my pad by the Guv and the Misses last week, bags and boxes being packed, the poppymobile and the human kennel on wheels being made ready for what I worked out was another trip away. Now normally when the human kennel is involved I get to go away with them, but just to make sure I got my bed and suitcase ready to load!
