Ferry good time......

Another place we stopped at was Reedham Ferry. As you can see the humans here set up a chain system that pulls the bath tub across the water and they are even able to put their tin boxes on wheels on it!

The Guv was able to get a great camping pitch for the human kennel on wheels and the poppymobile. Mind you as you can see I kept guard to make sure no pesky squirrels came near.

However I always get my rewards from the Guv for looking after him and the Misses, and after dinner I get my own bed !

A few old birds!

Now I was telling you all about The Broads.  The Misses always says just loads of mud and ducks, well she is partly correct. There certainly were a few "old birds" waddling around and I was not allowed to chase any!

We went to visit many of the small villages around, what is it you humans have about floating along the water in a bath tub?  I actually think humans are jealous of us dogs as we have four legs to walk & run about on and try and make up by having tin boxes on wheels, human kennels on wheels, and floating bathtubs to get you around.......and I'm not even mentioning the fact humans are also jealous that birds can fly and they can't so had to make metal tubes to fly in !

It's all new to me

The "Misses" seemed to know lots of places around the Norfolk Broads and I heard her say when she was younger her parents took her there year after year for summer holidays.  Now as I had never been here before this was a whole new experience for me.  As some of you will know I'm not too keen on water, and as for going in those floating bath things, well I think I'll just sit and look on, or better still join the Guv inside for a beer!

Went to see this broad....

click on any photo to enlarge

Now I thought the Misses was really being good and understanding to the Guv when she agreed he could go and see this Norfolk broad!  Wow I thought, I never knew he had another woman, but I got it wrong again!  Never will understand this English language....

So its a PLACE called the Norfolk Broads we went off to see. In the first two photos I'm at Wroxham, we stopped there for my people to have breakfast, and I got offered a bowl of water.

Later we went to a place called Gorleston, huh I though don't think they like dogs here, full of anti dog signs!

The sun has got his hat on.......

So with all that rain I thought we were in for a real bad holiday, just like when I visited the U.K. in 2012.  On our first night we stayed in the "human kennel on wheels" near Newmarket. I was told there were lots of horses there, but I never saw one!  What I did see though was masses of rabbits.....and they were great fun to chase!

The next day we were off to see the Guv's relatives in Norfolk. Now I had met them before. in fact on the very first day I decided to go and live with the Guv and his Misses......

However going back to the weather, things were to change, and I even got to have a run (in the dry) on a British beach.  In the photo at the top here I am at Yarmouth.....and the bottom photo with the Guv, Misses and his aunt & uncle.

How can you tell?

A quick visit for me to the nice lady in the DEFRA office at Channel Tunnel and half an hour in the train from France, I was in England.

and it was RAINING !

Then once the poppymobile and a health check and a new set of wheels we were on our way to Norfolk, or rather I should say we queued our way to Norfolk via the Dartford Tunnel

We wus "tolled"

I forgot to tell you that the Guv's pockets suffered a major catastrophe during our journey from Bari in Italy to France.  In fact I was quite worried if he had enough money left to buy me my food!  You see because we were towing the human kennel on wheels he had to pay 186 euro in road tolls!

However I think he has recovered and found a few pennies more as he has now allowed me to connect to the internet from my home in Wales........so more blogs soon
