On the tiles...

OK so the Guv smashes up the floor in the rain room, spends one day mixing some runny grey stuff then poured it all over the floor. At least the result seemed to make him happy.  Now he has started putting another floor down.  Apart from the colour its looks the same as it was to me !

Rain room rubble....

Well I returned home after the early morning walk expecting to have a nice quiet day lazing at my country pad.....was I wrong !  Banging, drilling and thumping all day the Guv had managed to arrange to make even more mess in the rain room...

How's a girl to have a decent siesta ?

Our village

My canine brain was thinking yesterday that I had not shown you any photographs my people have taken of our village.  I say "our" village as we are actually just 1 km outside the village (the last photo on the page shows the distance of the village from the bottom of our garden).

All through the village the Maire has had planted some very nice pots of flowers and a row of trees (he obviously thinks of us dogs).  In fact I have met his canine friend, called Peppi.

Take cover !

The Guv has finally given in and in this heat decided the bedroom needed a ceiling fan fitted.   Now as you can see the best place to be when the Guv starts working up ladders is under the table !

Fire, Fire at Bellon.......

Well I thought I could smell smoke outside, not that I could tell the Guv about it but he soon found out as our neighbour posted this photograph on her Facebook site.  Both the Guv and I went upstairs and yes, we could see the fire from our office window only a couple of hundred yards away.  The local fire & rescue service arrived very quickly to deal with the problem.......Good job, as it was next to my walking fields !

Now I know all about fires as we tend to have some very serious fires in the summer months in my homeland of Greece and often I see fire planes and helicopters flying over our house, in fact I'll show you a photo from Greece (below) taken a few years back....

Harvesting....

Wow the farmers here have some giant machines, I've been watching them from my balcony. What is more they are very clever as they eat up all this stuff growing in the fields then poop it out all wrapped up in a roll ready for someone else to take away.

I wonder if I ate that stuff could I do that?  Bet it would please the Guv......

Moan alone.....

I have to tell you that now and then the Guv and the Misses go off and leave me on my own !  Can you imagine that?  Well it's not really too bad as when they are not around I get to lie on their bed (but don't tell them), and I do have a big garden to run about in.

My people are very lucky not only do they have ME, but they also have a very good neighbour who comes to mow the grass for the Governor (as his sit on mower is still in Greece).  Good job as well as the Guv would be moaning for weeks if he had to mow all this with his walk behind cutter!

A "hay" there!

As yesterday I showed you some photos of the sunflower fields, I thought today I would show you some of the other fields opposite my pad that I get to run around in.  Mind you these hay fields when cut are a bit prickly on my paws but it's great fun jumping up on the giant bales.......

Early one morning.........

You all know that every morning I get taken out for an early morning walk. In Greece the Guv and I go to the beach around 0700hrs, but here in France we are a bit far from a beach, so I get taken in the fields that surround our house.

So here are a couple of photographs the Guv took on this mornings 7am walk.

Into space ?

The Guv announced the other day that he'd have to fix the satellite so we can receive English TV.  Wow I thought the Guv's going into space !!!

OK, so I got it wrong again, the nearest he got was up a ladder
but I still had to keep a watch on him from the balcony !

Market time............

A good early morning walk as normal but now along the fields of corn & sunflowers that surround my new French pad.  After we returned home the Guv and the Misses went off without me to the local weekly market.....uh I thought left behind........

When they returned the Misses looked "plum tuckered out" and I learnt the market stretched for around 1 km through the streets of the local town.....in this heat I'm glad I never had to go !!

Rosie for PM

There certainly will be no need to tell my readers what is happening in Greece tomorrow.  The Guv says there is no way that Greece will easily ditch the Euro, but I'm not so sure.  Just in case I'm right I'm thinking of sending the Greek Government the template for the first notes they will have to print....
(see photo).

Hey, in saying that I might even stand for Prime Minster, after all I can't do a worse job could I?,  I've heard loads of people say the countries going to the dogs !!!!!  YEA.

Early up......

It's still very, very hot here in France so the Guv has to get up extremely early to get out to do his chores, even before he takes me out for a walk!  The last few days he's been painting the gates at 0630hrs.  I keep a close watch on him from the bedroom balcony to make sure he is not shirking !

No more "rainroom"

Now my regular readers will know just how much I HATE water, so today I was overjoyed in seeing the Guv getting rid of the dreaded "rainroom"!
