The "Duchess"

So nearly all day the Guv spent in the garage with his new toy!  So far he has sanded all the wooden bits, stained and polished them, also cleaned all the carpets.....I can't wait to have my first ride in it and get my blonde hairs all over the dark brown carpets !

Mind you he did take me for my early morning walk, put up some trellis and plant a lemon tree for the Misses as well.....

Room for me!

Now you may recall the other day I told you that something was up as the Guv spent the day clearing out one of the garages, well today I found out why!

You see the Misses bought the Guv a special birthday present that arrived this morning....so I had to have a good look at it and see if I approve.

Looks like the Guv will have to do a bit of work on this, but hey ho, there's room for me on the front seat as well  ........

A bridge too far....

After our visit to the brocante the other day my people and I went to Brosac for a snack lunch and coffee.  I met a very frisky canine that I wanted to play with but the person he looks after was rather strict with him and would not allow it. So I thought I have better just keep quiet and enjoy the view......

Those of you that know me will also know of my fear of water, I kept well away until the Guv made me walk over this bridge....then he wanted me to pose for photos, definitely a bit too much and a bridge too far!

I'm old enough!

Well this morning was different!  Immediately after my early morning walk off we went in the "poppymobile" to this place that had hundreds of people selling second hand "stuff".  Now the Misses told me that these sales are called brocantes,  let me tell you I thought I had better be on my best behaviour in case the Guv sold me!

What is it about you humans.... you know the age thing?  My people go into human food shops and when the Guv buys liquor they ask him if he is over 21...now I ask you he's three times that age, can't they tell?

Now I'm walking along quietly at this brocante and these people ask the Misses how old the "puppy" is!    PUPPY.....I'm eight years old, that's 56 in your human years

Work, work, work...

Well there has been a lot of work being done by the Guv over the last few days, building things and cleaning out the barn. He has also made lots of room in the garage so something is going on........

I'll keep you informed......

...all is well in my world

Well after another long journey I'm back in my pad in France.  I've had a good sniff around and all is in order, the Misses has put my sleeping basket in my room, my food bowls out so life is GOOD....

.... now to look out for my French neighbour Réglisse and have a good bark!

Water, water every where....

I thought today I would share with you some photographs of where my people and I stayed at Lake Iseo in Italy.  Unlike many Italian human kennel parks this camp site was quite small and right on the lakeside.
The Guv forbid me to chase the ducks though!

It's cool......

My people found this real "cool" human kennel park right next to one of the Italian lakes.  I say "cool" as the temperature is less than half of what it was when I left my homeland a few days ago!

I also think the Guv should have known that it takes a lot of water to fill these lakes, and I guess someone does not think they are full enough yet.......

"Ferry" long way

Be honest you missed me didn't you?

Well I'm off with my people again on another long journey.
The Guv drove all the way to Igoumenitsa and here we are on the camping deck of the
Anek ferry on the way to Italy.

As you can see it's my job to keep guard of the poppymobile
and the human kennel

but some times I just need a rest !
