Shopping !

As the Guv and Misses took me supermarket shopping this morning which for a canine like me is quite boring I thought I would share with you a more interesting photo of a place I get taken to on ocassions.  At least here whilst my people have coffee I can have a run-a-round!

I looked after him....

I did not get much sleep on Sunday night as the Guv kept me awake.  You see he has not been very well so I had to stay up and look after him, with a little help from the Misses.  Glad to say he's much better now and told me he'd be back to normal in a few days time.......what ever normal for the Guv is !

Rickety Rackety Bridge

A good morning out with my people yesterday in a village near us called "Yviers" where I was able to have a good walk around.  Mind you there is no way I was going to cross that bridge I remember the story about the

What's being built?

Woof woof, I think something is going to happen outside my pad.  Now the human that arrived with all this stuff has done some work for the Guv before. There certainly seems to be a lot of very thick wooden pillars.......hey maybe the Guv is going to have a male doggy toilet built and get a friend for me!

More cars........

So here are some more photographs the Guv and Misses took on Sunday at the Pillac fete.  Later in the morning my people sat down to eat breakfast, like normal I did not get anything  but they did get me a "doggy bag" of steak that I had when we got home....

I think this was Guv's favourite car!

....and we also had the village band playing, you can hear what they sounded like by clicking the link below

Classic......

As I was saying yesterday I had my first ride in the "Duchess" to this car event in one of the village fetes near my pad.  Besides some of the "older" cars there was also a group of people from the U.K. in their Panthers. (now I always thought panthers were cats!), indeed one of the owners tried telling the Guv that Panthers were far more "classic" than Morgans.....the Guv sorted that MEOW!!!!

I'll show you some more tomorrow and let you hear the band!

My first trip

Yeh...my first trip out the "tin box on wheels" my people call "The Duchess"
I'll tell you more about it tomorrow...

Not for sale...

So this morning my people took me to a golf and tennis club not far from where we live hoping to have their morning coffee and snack.  Now I'm used to not getting anything to eat at human cafes and restaurants but my people are not. Whilst the Misses did manage to get coffee the female human serving refused to sell any of the Danish pastries and other items and told the Misses they were only for residents!  Odd way to run a business even in my canine mind!

Think the tennis term "No Service" was very appropriate....

Off to the tip !

Lots of trips out in the "poppymobile" the other day as the Guv decided to have a clear up in the garden and take all the "rubbish & cuttings" to the decheterrie.
(You see I got the hang of this French language),
mind you I don't know why they use such a long word for "tip" !

Three trailer loads and still more to to, but it's too hot today for work...

It looks rubbish to me...

Yesterday besides what I told you about on my last blog my people also took me to this open air junk shop!  Well over here they call it a "brocante".  It's the sort of place where humans take real old things they no longer want, for other humans to buy and then wonder what to do with them!

There was even humans playing music, I'm sure I heard them singing "Any old iron, any old iron"

The Guv said " My Grandmother had one, my mother threw it out and now the Misses wants to buy one back!"

A morning out....

Another long day out for me!  The morning walk today was along the river bank in a village just north of my pad, then it was off for my people to have coffee at Chadurie. Like many human eating places in France they let me in as well!

Market day....

Over the last few days I have not really had much to tell you about, the Guv has been playing with his "new"..old car and the Misses has been planting things in the garden.

Today though we all went to St Foy le Grande to the market and I can tell you I got worn out walking around all the stalls, there were loads of them!

As normally happens my people sat under the arches and had coffee, also I met some other humans that we stayed with when we were looking for new kennel to live in a few years back. Mind you I was far more interested in a few of the French canines that were around, especially a rather attractive "big" Boxer!
