Christmas Forest...
Well the Misses has been busy over the last few days turning my pad into some sort of arboretum ! As you can see she was not satisfied with one Christmas tree she had to have THREE....one for the reception room, one for the lounge and one for the family room.
The stair cases did not escape either (as you can see), in fact if it did not move it got "tinselled" ....I ran and hid.

Driving home for Christmas
I must say I'm real glad to be back in my French home tonight. Our journey started off in the sun in Greece but in Italy things got real tough as you can see. The "poppymobile" with the Guv driving and towing a heavy trailer full of goodies proved just what a 4x4 can do.
Mind you we were stopped for about an hour as the snow built up around us owing to trucks
getting stuck and being abandoned.
The Guv just kept on going
......and going
mind you my people decided not to try and get into the service station
near the Frejus tunnel.....it looked a bit blocked !
... but were mighty glad to get to the tunnel entrance, many did not and scores of trucks were stuck out in the snow overnight.
Me.....I stayed warm in the "poppymobile"

That hat, that hat, where did you get that hat?
A morning walk then off to the city of Kalamata with the Guv and the Misses. Home made mince pies taken to a friend of ours then shopping. The Misses wanted a new handbag so a walk to the old town was in order and a visit to the bag and hat shop. They wanted to buy me a hat, but I already have one !!!!

Bottoms up !
Quite a normal morning starting with the seaside walk-a-bout, mind you it did go on a bit longer than normal as the Misses went off to the "fur-dresser" as she said "just for a trim"
The Guv and I took our time and had a wander around the town, then a rest near the harbour (which has now been cleared of storm damage).

Results of big wind !
You may recall from a previous blog I told you about the thunder & lightening storms we had here in my homeland. Well more recently besides it being quite warm we had some very strong winds and this is the result along the sea front in the town near us.
Very often when I come down here for a walk-a-bout there are campervans parked along the sea front, good job they are not here when this happens, they would have been blown over and hit by big pebbles.
