MERRY CHRISTMAS

Merry Christmas to all my readers

Sunday, 15 December 2019

Remember us also....

The Missus takes a rest after doing all these decorations and putting up three Christmas trees !

Well this is my 11th Christmas and 10th Christmas with the people I now take care of.  Those of you who have read my blog from the start (and if you have not, why not?) will know my start in life was not very good.  My first Christmas I spent tied up outside in the cold with nothing to eat but dry bread thrown at me by the Greek man who did not really want me at all.  In fact in those days I was sorry I was born.
Then I broke free, or as you will remember got dumped from his car, but after a while I found the people I now live with who really take care of me.

So remember this Christmas not only the humans that will have to spend the nights out in the cold with little or no food, but also us canines who want to be cared for in return for the loyalty and love we can give you.

New toilets arrive

Now being female I don't need them but I think it's very thoughtful of my people to erect these three doggy toilets for Christmas for my friends

Christmas Fayre

So my people go off without me this morning, mind you in a way I am glad as the Missus had this idea of me having to wear a silly Christmas hat like the humans do at this time of year!

Who's been eating MY food?

Well it took a while but I've finally found out who's been eating all the food I leave hidden around the house !

A tribute

A National Day of remembrance here in France that my people will attend locally.  I also pay tribute to all humans and animals that served their country.

Autumns here, winters close....

So for the first time in ages the Guv had to put his winter coat on for the early morning walk.  He said the countryside also has it's winter coat on, ME I have my own fur coat !

Loads of "stuff"

I must show you a few more photographs of this museum as there was lots of "stuff" to look at.  Mind you I must say just how surprised I am at you humans.

Not only was there lots of "stuff" but it looks like someone "stuffed" a
couple of humans as well !

This old place......

So next I get taken to this old place that I'm told is a museum

Now being a canine I'm not normally allowed in these places but this one is an exception, they welcomed me!

Mind you rather than queue for a ticket, look over here "mum" there's an ice cream fridge!

OK, OK I know the Guv wants to look at these machines, but I've just seen another canine!

They're not "goosing" me!

I wonder if these are the geese that lay the golden egg?

So walking around Sarlat I get the feeling I'm being watched.

I guess this is where the geese get "de-livered"

I'm not going to be involved!

Our good neighbour delivered our winter wood supply this morning so that means the Guv will have get to work and put it all away.

If he thinks I'm helping he can think again!

Up and out early

Woof, woof what do you think he's doing up there?

So another place to visit, this time a town called Sarlat. We got there early as it tends to be rather full of humans sight seeing later in the day.

Good thing about being early besides the Guv being able to park the
"poppymobile" is that my people had breakfast out.
The only thing was there was nothing for ME !

No crepes here!

Just another nice village my people took me to.
St Crepin and Carlucet

Under the table (again)

Another town, another stop.  This time we were in Souillac and after a look around the Guv stopped for coffee AGAIN.

Think the Guv is checking my blog and what I say !

I know my place....

Nice drinks.....

On our way back home this afternoon my people stopped at this new cafe in Aubeterre for coffee and a cake.  I got a bowl of water!  First time I have been here and really nice people have taken over the business.  The Guv said they got a real good Italian coffee machine, so will definitely be visiting again!

Water stop ....

This was a very hot day so my people stopped to collect some more water for me in this small village called
St. Pompont.
