Dog tired

I don't think you humans realise just how hard it is being a dog!  Having to get up every morning, be walked through the fields come rain or shine then
having to guard you and your property throughout the night.
I think we deserve a day time sleep

Merry Christmas

Daisy and I hope all my readers are having a Merry Christmas.
I must admit I have been a bit tired over the last few days so much so I have let the Guv take Daisy out for the early morning walk but I have stayed in bed.

New arrival

Well now I can see why the Guv made me stay in this afternoon, looks like I got another new neighbour
(or should that be "nay"bour)?

I heard the Guv say to the Missus that our friends were having a special delivery this afternoon and it was important the delivery took place quietly and calmly we had to stay in....now as if I would bark
Trouble is the Guv knew I would.!

No wine !

After our morning walk near the river at Aubeterre the Missus had to do even more shopping. Now what I did not expect is that on our way back home we met a nice lady who made these special food bowls for us.
Mind you look as I did I could not find the wine in the box !!!!

Worn out !

It's a hard life for Daisy and me

Can't loose her now

Well it looks like I'm the only fit one in the household!
Daisy had to be taken to the dog doctor, mind you it was only to have her name and address added to the French register in case she gets lost.
Then the Guv has to spend a day in hospital, but they're both back home now so all is good.

Play time

OK think we will have to wait here until the Guv gets ready to take us out to play !

Think Daisy's going to be in a bit of trouble

Basket case

Well we are now all settled in at my pad in France and Daisy has her own bed to sleep in.  Mind you I do have to remind her every so often which one is hers.....

Two go walking

Well we are back home at my French pad after our long journey.  Now my regular readers will know each morning I get taken out for an early morning walk, well now I have to take the "pup" as well.

Come on Guv, hurry up !

What do you think is down there?

Don't go there Daisy, it's muddy and the Guv will get mad!

Where'd the rabbit go ?

The Black Army........

One of the overnights stops we had was in Frejus. In the morning before we left the area the Guv and the Missus wanted to stop and see the Black Army Memorial sculpture

During the First World War, nearly 200,000 soldiers from “French West Africa” fought in the French army. 30,000 of them were killed in action. The federation represented 8 French colonies in West Africa between 1895 and 1958. Mauritania, Senegal, French Sudan (now Mali), Guinea, Côte d’Ivoire, Niger, Upper Volta (now Burkina Faso), Togo and Dahomey (now Benin).

What a great stop

So after leaving the ferry we were in for a long trip, however as I have said in previous posts the Guv always stops regularly for us dogs to have a walk around.  This time he excelled himself and found this great motorway rest stop for us.....

Well I'm floored!

As normal my people have booked a special cabin on this "tub" so we can travel with them instead of being put in the metal cages they call pet kennels. So for the next 22 hours I get some comfort......or so I thought!

You see something went very wrong, the "pup" got the bunk and I got the floor !!

Off we jolly well go...

So now I can tell you all about the last few days. Being an experienced traveller I knew once the "poppymobile" was packed in a certain way it meant a long trip.  I was right......off we jolly well went !

After quite a long trip we were back on the floating tub but this time I had to share my journey not just with the Guv and the Missus but with the "young un" as well.

Silly time & sleep time

Wow and woof all this playing and running around with Daisy is near wearing me out. I think that is the reason I did not have any pups of my own, mind you I also think the dog doctor the Guv took me to years ago had something to do with that !

Sunbathing

After a full day of water falling from the sky and the previous night full of God's fireworks thankfully today is back to normal. As much as I hate sharing my bed, out of the goodness of my canine heart I'll let the "pup" sunbath with me.

She's staying

Well it looks like she's staying!  I've had to sort her out a few times though as these young things think they can take over the place.  I'll keep her on the edge...just in case, one push and she's back to her basket !

I thought it good !

The Guv said sometimes I'm not very nice to Daisy !

Poison on the beach

Beach walking is a bit more fun with Daisy rather than just the Guv and me.  I'm allowed the run loose on the beach as the Guv trusts me but Daisy is still learning. It's also a good job the Missus has good eyesight as some evil human laid poison down where we walk.  Daisy could have picked that up as she seems to eat anything !

Quiz time

The Guv said I could not use the internet thingy today because there are lots of problems but I managed to set you all a quiz.
That's me in the top photo and Daisy in the bottom photo
Who can guess first what the answer is?
No clues but the Guv said probably only my older readers will know

Life's a beach

Life is back to normal despite me having to share my pad with "Daisy". Got the Guv up good and early and it's off to the beach for the morning walk.

I'm allowed to run free on the beach but the Guv kept the puppet (I mean puppy) on a string!   Not that she'd run away but don't think she has yet learnt not to pick up things on the beach !
