My stop overs....

I suddenly remembered I have not told you about any of the human kennels we stay in on our journey between my Greek and  French pad. As the Guv normally pulls a trailer behind the poppymobile he has to always find somewhere with secure parking, that will allow me in and if you know the Guv it has to be cheap!

This is our normal stop in Parma, Italy, all the Guv's criteria are met, and they have a very, very good human eating place.  What's more they always put a doggy dish out for me in the room....

The bottom photo is in Chambery, the kennel meets all his requirements and has a good breakfast available. Also there are loads of human eating places within walking distance, and a supermarket fuel station......the Guv likes cheap diesel for the journey as well !

The day that the rains came down......

As I was saying yesterday I was very glad we missed the storms that occurred a few weeks back. Whilst a couple of the beaches I go to escaped damage just look what happened to this beach in the village just down the hill from us...

Don't think I'll risk running about here today and getting splinters in my paws.

......and some people complain about small pot holes in the road!

Back to normal

Well it's back to the early morning beach walks for me.  Mind you some of the beaches still have 

the left overs of the severe storms from last month, I'll show you some of the photos in a few days.

Definitely glad we missed those!

I'm back.......

Yes I'm back home and after a long wait my pad has a phone line and internet connection again!

Not very good weather for the Guv to drive in. The first rain in our part of France for some weeks and on the very morning we set off.  It continued all through France until we got to Italy

THEN IT SNOWED !

Waiting for the ferry at Ancona at least the weather is better....

It's a long journey!

No blogs !!

Well I'm back in my Greek home but the phone company have still not reconnected the phone line, so no internet......that means I am having "blogging" withdrawal symptoms.

Might as well try something new !

Rain, rain and more rain.....

So I leave my nice warm pad with my people and for a whole two days travel in the "poppymobile" it has rained......ah, not quite when we went into Italy through the Frejus tunnel it was SNOW.

Yep....I'm tired now, think I'll sleep the rest of the way

Wake me up when I'm in Greece

They'll not forget me!

There's been a fair bit of activity around my pad over the last few days and my people have a few suitcases around the place.  Now normally this means only one thing, their off somewhere!  I'm going to take my place in the "Poppymobile" in case they forget me.......

He's no magician !

Now you know this big dog kennel I thought the Guv was having built, well it wasn't a dog kennel but a new place for the human kennel on wheels to be stored.  After the Guv put it in place he covered it over with this big green sheet but he's no match for David Copperfield, he could not make it disappear!

All mine......

Well the work outside of my pad carries on but hopefully within the next two days the Guv should have finished doing what he is doing to it !  Meanwhile this morning my morning run-a-bout was at this lakeside venue, with all the tourists gone home I've plenty of room to run around...

The Misses and I let the Guv have some time off his work, so he came along as well and both my people had a bacon sandwich with their coffee here....I got nothing !!

A new friend ?

I heard the Guv say he was having something built in the rear yard and when all the wood arrived I thought "yippee" it's a new kennel so I must be getting a new friend.  Then I seen the size of it....now I'm panicking it's going to be a blooming big dog!
