Bark or bones?

I thought tonight I should get together with some canine friends and have a "bark about".  My regular readers will be able to recognise me quite easily, but I'm not giving away which canine I am !

So it's a canine trick or treat, or should that be bark or bones?

Market day............

Well it's very much back to normal now, starting with the early morning beach walk this morning in Petalidi so the Misses can go to the weekly market.

A bit of a grey day to start with though, so I think I will stay under cover on the balcony now we are back home....

Celebrations.......

Today commemorates a very special day in my homeland and there are celebration parades in nearly every city, town & village.  Military forces, public services and school children march to remember OXI DAY.

I will not explain this meaning on my blog so

and find out just what it's all about....... 

Bananadrama

So I am back in my Greek home at last and the Guv was right, he will have a lot of work to do in the garden!  In fact after passing through the gates we were confronted with a "banana-drama", our banana tree had grown and nearly blocked the driveway with bunches of bananas hanging over......and they 're heavy!

Unfortunately not all the trees had grown well and I heard the Misses say another three trees had died!  That means a less doggy toilets for my mate Rex who looks after my pad when I'm away.

Having a "ferry nice time"

Our journey meant two nights stay in a human kennel with my people and then a night on the ferry from Italy to Greece. Now some of my canine friends on the ferry get put in metal cages on the deck, but my Guv makes sure I'm allowed in the cabin with him.........I love my Guv !

Have bed will travel....

I know you have all missed my blog, haven't you?  Well over the last few days I have been travelling with my people from France back to my homeland in Greece.  Although I have done this many times before it's still a long and tiring journey.  Mind you my people always see I get looked after and even travel with my special bed for me when in the hotel rooms.  Do you know though some of the hotels even charge extra for me, despite me bringing my own bed!
I got my own back though.......in one hotel I slept on THEIR spare bed !!!!!

Twisted spire

So a few more photographs of me in the same place, Rochechouart. This time however in the side streets outside the Château.  In my previous blog I told you about the meteorite that hit this area, well the town is also famous for the church with the twisted spire (see the photo at the bottom), oh yes that's me and the Guv going for a walk to get a closer look! 

Lower the drawbridge!

As you can see I gave one loud bark and they 

lowered the drawbridge for me !

I thought today I would show you some photos of another place me and my people went to see last weekend.  Rochechouart not only has this "cool" château but also 214 million years ago an enormous six billion ton meteorite smashed into this spot - probably one of the largest meteorites ever to hit the earth.  That was even before the Guv was born!

They win again.......

Oh well, as you can see I never got to stay long resting on the sunny rock and yes I got taken around the Château and the main street!   Still I had to pretend I was enjoying myself and I even allowed the Misses to get in some of the photos!

Château & chattered!

So after watching the parade and feeling "plum tucked out" the Guv expects me to walk around this massive Château with him......some hope, I'm going to lie on this rock and wait for him................
