Far too scary

I forgot to tell you that when my people's friends from Greece came around the Guv took them to the Monolithic underground church in the village near us.  For once I'm glad I did not go with them, far too scary all those stairs and having to go up that high!

Mud, mud glorious mud

In past blogs I have shown you all the fields I walk in and during the summer they are full of either sunflowers, maize or wheat.  Now a lot of the crops have been harvested and the field ploughed so the Guv will not let me walk through them when muddy......

Mind you if he's not looking the temptation to run through this mud is GREAT !

A lace fair.....

Well our visitors have now left me so I can get back to my book and a bit of blogging!  The other day the Misses wanted to go to this lace group meeting in a village near us, so I thought I'd better go along and see what it is all about...

mmmmm not much for dogs in there, so I stayed out in the sunshine with the Guv. I wonder if that is what's meant by "laisez-faire"  (woof woof)

It's harvest time

You will know from my photographs of last year that the fields all around my pad either have sunflowers or maize in them.  Well the sunflowers are all now gone as the sunflower eating machine has been around.

Now over the next week or so my blogs might be a bit random as we have guests for a couple of days and I also must make some doggy effort to do a bit more for my fourth book.  In case you are wondering what it will be, well guess.....
It will be called "My French Revelation"

Meetings...

As my friends know I'm back in France now and today we went out in "The Duchess" to a car meet in Chalais.  There were lots of interesting things to see and I got to meet some interesting canines also.....

Comfort.....

On one of my other days in the U.K. my people took me to meet some of their friends. They had planned to meet in the town where my people once lived.  In fact I spent some months there also a few years ago.

What was really good was that the Guv got the hotel manager to agree to allow me to join them in the lounge.  Those sofas looked so comfortable, but I resisted!

Mind you I think the Guv spent more time looking at his friends new car than he did eating lunch !

I also had a good walk around whilst the Misses went and had her hair cut

Canal canine

One thing about visiting the U.K. with the Misses is that she likes shopping!  Of course I have to go along as well, which can be a bit of a bore for a canine like me.  However it also means my people will normally stop for coffee or lunch at lots of interesting places.

This time we went to Kidderminster, and for my French & Greek friends this is a town in the English Midlands once famous for making carpets.  Here we are at "The Watermill" right next to the Staffordshire-Worcestershire canal.

Back to the camp site

After my visit to Barry and Barry Island it was back to our camp site in Herefordshire, and the lovely big field for me to run about in, or as in the case of the photograph above take on my security duties!

I met a very nice Staffordshire Bull Terrier that belonged to one of the workmen on the site.  I get very upset about the bad press given to my fellow canines like this, I think the bad press should be given to bad human owners!

Barry Island.......

Well as this is the first time I've been to Barry Island a good sniff around was necessary.  I can't say the weather was as nice as in my homeland but then it was early morning (I'm told it does get better, but I don't believe it!)

Nearly the whole promenade to myself !

K9 Cafe

The Guv took me to this real cool place at Barry Island where we met some of his relatives.  As you can see the cafe was called K9....a special cafe for people and dogs.  When I went in they brought me a bowl of water, even before they served the humans, then to my surprise they came and gave me a bed cushion to rest on......Now that's what I called service!
