Too hot

Just another lazy day for me.  The Guv and the Missus had to go out but as it was far too hot for me to stay in the car I stayed at home.

National Holiday

So today here in France is a national holiday and I heard my people say they were going out for the day.  Now I had to make sure they'd take me along. However sometimes I wonder why I bother!  Just look at the photos of all the food they ate for lunch, and if you scroll down far enough you'll see what I got !!!

The Missus work

I thought today I would show you what the Missus gets up to in the garden.  You see the Guv is happy in the garage but tries to restrict his gardening expertise at driving the mower !   That means the veggie plot is all the Missus own work...

Somethings up......

Now I said yesterday I was enjoying a bit of peace and quiet however I think things may change tonight.  The Misses has been busy cooking all day (and I don't think it was dog food), and the Guv has set this lot up outside.  

Peace and quiet

Well the Misses is in the kitchen cooking what seems to be far too much just for the three of us. The Guv is in the garage cleaning some very dirty bits off the "Duchess", so I thought I'd spend the day in peace in the garden!

It's hot.......

Well it's just been too hot to blog!  One thing though the hot days does get the Guv up out of bed extra early. Normally I wake him at 0700hrs but recently he has been waking me up much, much earlier.  The reason, he has been putting up a sunshade for the human kennel on wheels and as it's so hot he has to come in by 0930hrs unless he'll cook! Not done bad a job though, me, well I just watch and stay on guard!

Nice and early before most people wake up the Guv and I go for our morning walk. Nothing better than a romp in the hay I am told !

I got left home!

Well guess what?  My people went out the other day and left me at home!  Admittedly I did go for my early morning walk first with the Guv, but normally I get to go out in the poppymobile with them also.  Some excuse of it being too hot for dogs to walk around the city of Angouleme was made by the Misses and hence I had to stay at home indoors.

When they got back I had a look at these photos on the Guv's phone to find out where they had been and also a good look at what they brought back in the shopping bags.  As they had lots of canine food I decided to excuse them from not taking me, and I  got to sleep on their bed when they were away......don't tell them though!

I found out that this is the head of George Remi, better known to humans as Hergé.   He was the guy that wrote Tin Tin stories I'm told.  Mind you I'm more into Rin Tin Tin.....

Run rabbit, run rabbit run, run, run,

Not much going on at my pad at present besides the Guv and the Misses doing some things in the garden like humans do!  Mind you I do get taken for my early morning walk in the fields opposite, and now the farmers have cut some of the fields I get extra places to have a sniff around and oh yes, chase those rabbits..... 

Fireworks.......

I forgot to tell you all about the other night, mainly because I have been trying to get it out of my mind! The humans in the village had some sort of party celebrations that ended with fireworks. Now there are a few things I absolutely hate,  swimming, thunder and FIREWORKS. These photos the misses took from our window, that shows how close they were!

I had to take cover under the Guv's computer table upstairs.
Mind you the Guv and Misses did stay with me.
