Domme, Domme, Domme, Domme.....

 

Another place I got taken to was "Domme" walking up that hill was hard 

work so the Missus and I stopped for a rest.

Rock on....

This is another place I went to with my people, La Roque Gageac. The Guv said it dates back to around the year 849 with the arrival of the Normans . The ancient forts were built into the rocks by the locals to protect themselves against the Viking invasion.

Beynac (again)

Not sure where the Missus has gone Guv,  think she's around the corner.

The Guv thought this was a metal casting of the Missus with her cauldron but
it's a potter at her wheel ! 

I'm on guard.

On my mini holiday one of the places we went to was Beynac with it's 12th century fortress. The heavy defensive walls were once guarded by King Richard I "the Lion-Heart".
But now I'm here to guard the Guv and Missus!

Mini holiday

I've just got back from a mini holiday near Sarlat with my people and the "human kennel on wheels".  It was rather hot but the camp site had some great shaded areas and of course the Guv chose the pitch carefully.

The Guv even went in the pool but I was not allowed to.
As my regular readers will know that did not bother me as I HATE water!

In the next days I'll share with you some of the places we visited.

In the pink....

A day out....

Bit of a trip out today with my people to have a look around Mensignac as the Guv wanted to go see a person that lived near there.  As you can guess I ended up in the cafe whilst he had coffee!

The Guv's not happy!

 

What a weekend!  Well a day really as we came home early. I went with my people to a vintage car rally in Perigueux and in fact the event is very good as I have been twice before but this time we took "The Duchess".  However the Guv and the Missus were most unhappy,  the Guv said something about not allowing the guy in the rally car park to organise anything in a brewery! 

We arrived at 0900hrs for the rally and the Guv parked "The Duchess" alongside all the other cars in the assembly car park. At 1000hrs the rally started but in over an hour we did not move, total chaos and when it came to our turn the rude man at the leaving point told the Guv  "No more can go, go back and park up as now it's only Citroens"  I can't repeat the response.

Retro travel

We had a good day out today as the Guv took us out in the "Duchess" to a car show in Montpon.  Mind you it was very hot but I get looked after as my people always take my drinking bowl and water for me.

Torture clinic !

Yep I got taken yesterday to the torture clinic, well that's what I call it !  I hate having my nails cut.

Pedicure or Pedicare the missus calls it, more like 

"PEDI-SCARE"
