I'll keep them away !

I was beginning to think it never stopped raining in Wales, in fact I was fast becoming a "soggy doggy"!

Now whilst my housekeepers have a good garden at the rear of the house here in Wales, I'm not as free as in my garden in Greece.  I think it might have something to do with the fact that I jumped the fence to see the dog next door. He's quite a big Alsation type canine and all I wanted to do was to play, but he ran off indoors when I started to speak to him......

Guess I'll have to be contented with guarding the front of the house, I bet I can get the postman to run off as well !!!

Feeling sheepish....

Before I get back to telling you about my trip here I must tell you about my morning walkies. Now in Greece you know I get taken to the beach most days, well it appears there are no beaches near my home here in Wales, but at the back of the house there are massive open fields and common land. At first I got a bit upset thinking I had become a "common dog" but as the Guv let me run about there, but I soon realised just how free I was and no worries about poison being put down to harm me.
Its good as I also can play hide & seek, you see I blend in with these woolly things extremely well and they appear to be everywhere!  I'm told I am not allowed to play chase with them though, so being good I don't, but one of the young ones had the cheek to chase me !!!

Watch Dog........

I just had to write another blog today to tell you all just how excited I was that the Guv allowed me to watch the Queen's celebration  pageant on the Thames. What made it much better for me was that I could watch it in the lounge in front of the fire at my house instead of my fur getting soaked by going to London and having to dodge all the cats & dogs that fell out of the sky!

Well I heard the Guv say it was raining cats & dogs in London !

Its Magic !

After docking at Bari in Italy we were in for a long drive to Cesena, with a few stops on the way for, well normal things and of course lunch.  The Guv had fresh cuttle fish (I thought you humans only gave that to budgies) but the Misses does not eat fish so she had chicken!  I thought I would wait until evening just in case I get as big as they are!
Now we stopped at a very new human kennel building, and it had three "Magic Cupboards" that I was most impressed with.  I went inside one of them with the Guv and the doors closed. Inside was all mirrored so I could check my appearance was up to my normal standard. Then when the doors opened again there was a whole new world outside, totally changed from the one that was there when we went in the cupboard..........real MAGIC I thought!

Ciao, bow,wow....

Humans do some odd things don't they?  Now when I try and climb trees, or climb over walls the Guv shouts at me, but take a look at the human the Guv photographed climbing on the ferry. I was told he was the pilot, but clearly not as intelligent as us dogs if he thought he could get a ship to fly !

I know the Guv was born in Barry, so when I heard we were sailing there from Greece I thought it was to his birth town. I knew I was wrong when I heard the people speaking, they did not sound like he does, this was BARI in Italy.  So when I met a few canines it was definitely a case of  "Ciao Bow Wow"

Having a "Ferry Good Time""

Igoumenitsa was quite interesting for me as there were quiet a few homeless dogs around. I remember when I was homeless and hungry so I allowed the Guv to give one of them a bit of my meat. Saying that I had to keep them at bay a bit in case they thought they could come on holiday with us as well!
The last time I went on a ferry we had the human kennel on wheels with us, so we stayed in that. This time however my people had reserved a cabin and I was allowed in as well, gee I was glad they remembered my bed so I did not have to sleep on the floor.

On the deck some Ozzie woman came and spoke to the Guv, she asked if I was a "seeing dog". Now I thought she meant a SEA Dog, but I guess by what the Guv said she meant Dog for the Blind.  These Ozzies are silly, cos' if the Guv could not see he would have a white stick not a white dog!

I'm off as well.....

Well after lots of worrying it looks like I am off with my housekeepers to the UK and their tour of Europe. The Guv has made a pretty comfortable pad for me in the Picasso, I even have my own special seat belt.  Now just how do I bark in Italian, German, French & English !

Hey, leave room for me!

Well the whole thing started when I observed a lot of unusual activity around my pad. Now normally when this happens it means the "Stop'its" ( you will remember from earlier blogs how I worked out the humans last names) are off and away and I get to spend time with my mate Pal and his housekeepers.  Not that I mind staying with him, but it would be more fun if the Stop'its took me with them like they did last year when we all went on a tour of Italy.  I had great fun putting my head out of the window of the "blue tin box on wheels"  (uh, they call it Picasso......let me tell you its no oil painting !),  and barking at all the foreign dogs.
Mind you I was none to keen on the bath tub they sailed to Italy on, so if I do get to go with them I hope the "Guv" pays out more than 5 Euro for the trip this time.

The Italian ferry company should have renamed the ship
 "Pasta its best!"

Please, Please, PLEASE

How come all you humans get the best tasting things in life? After a hard days work (or so he says!) the Guv normally sits down and has a glass of the red stuff.  Now I know a good smell when I find one, and this smells good.....

Really the Guv is quite bright for a human, saying that he is not much good at sniffing out lizards or frightening the post-man away and just why he is taking so long to learn the language most of the other humans communicate in around here beats me.  However he has got the nack of this doggy telepathy.  So now how do I get him to understand I want the full glass not just a "lick of the barmaids apron!!!!"

He got me !

Yesterday was certainly "wash day" for my housekeepers and besides the "Guv" washing down the tin box on wheels, he got me too!  Tricked into the rain room I got a soaking and a soaping.........but later that afternoon I got my own back getting good and dirty again chasing lizards through the garden.  I don't understand though why my housekeepers get upset with me for doing that, I don't actually eat them, just sort of separate them out a bit.

Its the doggy version of "Heads & Tails"

The Guv said the photos are far too graphic to show you though !
