Food, food, food

Well after being told all about the making of wine at Laithwaites it was off to lunch for my people.
Nice venue as well just over the bridge from the wine cellars, right by the riverside in Castillon le Bataille.
There was so much food the missus got a "doggy bag" for ME !

I did learn though....

Now the Guv had already written and explained to the manager that I am very interested in wine and could I come as well.  The thing was I think the guy got it wrong as he went on about how the wine was made.
I'm more interested in drink it !!

A long day.........

A long day for me yesterday as the Guv and the Missus took me to this place where they make wine.  Now I like a drop of the red stuff as you know, I wonder if I get get to taste some ?

Uh ?

Once again the morning walk with the Guv, this time lots of the sunflowers were looking at us.  Mind you I think the Guv is beginning to "loose it !"  He kept singing some song about Bill and Ben 😀

Green fields and haymaking

So the morning walk opposite my pad as normal. The Guv made comment on seeing the first sunflowers starting to show. I was more interested in the rattle I could hear between them but whatever it was the Guv would not let me investigate and give chase !

My first open ride

Well that was different, my first ride in half a tin box....good job it was not raining !  The Missus and the Guv have made me a special foam seat in case I damage the leather (as if I would) and of course I have my own special seat belt.

The morning walk....

Now I know I have not been writing in my blog much recently but this is mainly because of "lock-down" and we really have not been very far apart from the early morning walks.  However things are changing now so hopefully the Guv and Missus  will take me to more interesting places.

Often meet these on the morning walk, sort of greet & sheep meet
I'm used to sheep and the Guv says I'm really good with them because I don't chase them. Mind you I do like eating them when they are cooked !

Young sunflowers in the foreground and golden wheat behind.

Looking into the past

I think some of you will know about my early life, if not read the first pages of my blog from 10 years ago

You see I have no hope of knowing who my ancestors were, except they were probably Greek.  Now the missus is far more lucky than me and she has been studying her ancestors history for nearly 40 years, but I think she needs a bit of help.  So today I decided to check out these census records.

A good "knight"

Tuesday, 12 May 2020

I recognise that place !

I thought it too good to be true, out twice in the morning and then taken out again unexpectedly in the afternoon.  A ride in the "tin box on wheels" and what do I see and recognise immediately.....the dog doctors place !

Now normally when I have to go there I get stuck with a needle however not this time. What does he go and do though?.....Shave a piece of my fur off.  You see unfortunately I seem to have developed a few wart like spots, one on my back and a few on my legs.
