No slacking, in stacking....

As I said in my last post we had all this wood delivered and all afternoon the Guv and the Misses spent stacking it in one of the barns. I had to keep a close watch in case they started " slacking instead of stacking!"

When the Guv says he is having a bit of firewood delivered he meant it!  A fair days work here for the Guv and the Misses, so I think I'd better keep out of the way.  We are very lucky to have such good neighbours that delivered the wood for us with his tractor and trailer.

My 4th book.....

If you are a regular reader of my blog you will know besides this blog I have already written 3 books.  Well I'm into writing my 4th book now and that is why the blogs have not been so regular.

My 4th book will contain a lot more photographs and details of my new life in France and is a logical follow on from the 3rd book "My Country, My Home" which of course was all about Greece.  I thought I would give you a preview of the cover I designed......

6 years !

6 years ago this very date I started writing my blog some 9 months after walking in on the Guv and Misses. You see I just knew they needed some one to look after them and as "Mr Greek" threw me out of his car and left me to die I just knew if would be a fair trade off......you feed me and I'll look after you!

Bedded down.....

You will recall a couple of days ago my people took me on a long journey and I did get a bit bored.  Well truthfully it was not so bad as I ended up getting a present, well a sort of present!

You see they bought me this "cot thing" 

Now I am told that it is going to be my summer bed for outside in the garden, all I can say is that I hope they put some cushions on here for me !

It's Christmas again !

Well the Misses was right pleased yesterday as she received a very belated Christmas present from the "Marie" of Bellon (our French village) that very kindly our neighbours had put away and looked after for us.  Now where else would you receive such a gift from the local authority?

I am told that all people of a certain age receive presents each year from the Marie, the only thing was he forgot to put some dog food in it for me!  Never mind I'll just have the wine........

River walk....

Well the walk-a-bout this morning with the Guv was done whilst the Misses shopped in Chalais and despite the river being very high I was able to keep my paws dry. Had to keep my tail low though as there was a fair wind blowing !

No play today...

Woof !  No matter which way I looked there was no way I could get to those toys to play on in Aubeterre today.  Now if you read my blog a few days ago you will recall the slide & roundabout etc., well its now become a water park !

Play time, day 2....

Now as I said yesterday with no miniature humans around I get to play!  

Mind you if the Guv thinks I'm going to walk on that beam he's sadly wrong!

I'm worn out !

Now after this mornings walk I accompany my people to the market in one of the towns near where I live. There were certainly a lot of canines doing the very same, some I liked, some I had to "sort out" and give them a piece of my mind!

So we sit at this human eating place and the Guv and Misses get fed, what do I get for keeping them safe on their walk-a-bout....NOTHING !

A hunting we will go....

Well not hunting really just a good run-a-bout in the fields next to my home in France.  An early start the Guv always says "the early bird catches the worm", not sure what he means but I do know the early dog sees the rabbit !
