"Hay, Hey, Hay" it's a beautiful Sunday......

Nice and early before most people wake up the Guv and I go for our morning walk. Nothing better than a romp in the hay I am told !

I got left home!

Well guess what?  My people went out the other day and left me at home!  Admittedly I did go for my early morning walk first with the Guv, but normally I get to go out in the poppymobile with them also.  Some excuse of it being too hot for dogs to walk around the city of Angouleme was made by the Misses and hence I had to stay at home indoors.

When they got back I had a look at these photos on the Guv's phone to find out where they had been and also a good look at what they brought back in the shopping bags.  As they had lots of canine food I decided to excuse them from not taking me, and I  got to sleep on their bed when they were away......don't tell them though!

I found out that this is the head of George Remi, better known to humans as Hergé.   He was the guy that wrote Tin Tin stories I'm told.  Mind you I'm more into Rin Tin Tin.....

Run rabbit, run rabbit run, run, run,

Not much going on at my pad at present besides the Guv and the Misses doing some things in the garden like humans do!  Mind you I do get taken for my early morning walk in the fields opposite, and now the farmers have cut some of the fields I get extra places to have a sniff around and oh yes, chase those rabbits.....

Fireworks.......

I forgot to tell you all about the other night, mainly because I have been trying to get it out of my mind! The humans in the village had some sort of party celebrations that ended with fireworks. Now there are a few things I absolutely hate,  swimming, thunder and FIREWORKS. These photos the misses took from our window, that shows how close they were!

I had to take cover under the Guv's computer table upstairs.
Mind you the Guv and Misses did stay with me.

Whoops, nearly got lost...

I don't think the Guv was too happy with me this morning on the early morning walk.  I couldn't help it if I got lost in the sunflowers, after all it was worth it chasing that rabbit!

Good job the Guv had the whistle, at least I could hear him and by bouncing up in the air could just see where he had gone......truthfully I think he was trying to get me lost !!!!

el viva espana..........

Well that's another country ticked off my bucket list!  I think the Guv liked it here but probably only because diesel was thirty percent cheaper than in France

I looked all around this square hoping to see some canine friends, after all don't Espanyols  come from Spain?

Murky waters....

Another place I recently went to with my people was St Pied de Port, not bad lots of good sniffing places for canines and plenty of human eating houses (that's for humans to eat, not for canines to eat humans!).

Mind you the water looked a bit murky, not like the nice blue waters in my country

...and I'M STILL NOT walking to that place !

Back to normal..

Well it's back to normal and the Guv has repaired the computer so I'm able to do some blogging when he's not about !  I think I'll tell you about another place we went recently. It was a very hot day but here it was "chilli"

You see the town of Espelette is famous for chillies. The Guv told me that the Espelette pepper was imported from Mexico as long ago as 1650, that's even before the Guv was born !  Since June 2000, it has been the only French spice labeled AOC (Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée). I thought that meant  "Allowed all canines !

AOC Espelette pepper comes in 3 forms only:

chilli powder: the selected and hand-picked peppers are crushed after a natural ripening period of at least 15 days and an end of oven drying. Espelette pepper powder is orange to reddish brown in color.

chili pepper: the peppers are manually roped by 2, not 3 or 4 on a string of food from late August until late October.

in fresh whole chilli: exclusively reserved for processing.

Being a canine of course I rather a HOT DOG without chilli !

The Guv's annoyed

Well the Guv is not very happy, after spending most of the day cleaning and painting engine parts from the "Duchess" he came in and found the computer hard drive had failed.  That means I can't show you photos at present where I went on holiday.
In fact he's so annoyed I'm keeping out of the way and going to have a sleep on my French bed outside!

Well I thought......

Well one of the places we visited was St PEE sur Nivelle.
Well I thought with a name like that it would be OK to!

Then the Guv made me sit by this water fountain, I read the inscription and told him there's NO WAY I'm going to walk that far, even if he had friends that had done that walk !!
